Terms of Service

The deal, plainly.

Effective June 3, 2026

By using FedRange you agree to these terms. They're designed to be readable. If anything is unclear, email founder@fedrange.com before you keep using the service.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and FedRange. By signing up, signing in, or using the service in any way, you accept them. If you're using FedRange on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.

2. What FedRange is

FedRange is a research tool. It surfaces pricing intelligence, drafts proposal sections, and tracks recompete opportunities for federal contractors. The intelligence is built from public sources — USASpending.gov, SAM.gov, AbilityOne Procurement List, federal wage determinations, and similar public records.

FedRange is not a substitute for legal counsel, accounting advice, or your own bid/no-bid judgment. Recommendations the product surfaces are advisory. Always verify against authoritative sources before committing time or money to a bid.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract. FedRange is offered for lawful business use only — primarily small federal contractors pursuing US federal contract opportunities.

4. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

If you sign in with Google, you authorize us to use your Google account identity (name, email, profile picture, Google ID) to authenticate you. Google's own terms apply to your use of Google services.

5. Acceptable use

Don't do any of the following:

  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the service. The public-data side of FedRange is free for you to look at; resyndication or building a competing service from the output is not.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access non-public parts of the service.
  • Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or that you don't have the right to share.
  • Use the service to harass, deceive, or harm any person, including via generated proposal text.
  • Probe the service for vulnerabilities or test security controls without prior written permission. Responsible disclosure is welcome via founder@fedrange.com.

6. Data accuracy

FedRange surfaces inferences from public records. Public records have gaps and lags. Specifically:

  • Award data comes from USASpending.gov. It refreshes on a delay and contains classification gaps.
  • AbilityOne / JWOD sole-source detection is a first-pass screen, not the authoritative Procurement List. Always verify at abilityone.gov/procurement_list before final bid/no-bid decisions.
  • SCA wage determinations and federal wage rates surface from public sources; the official Wage Determinations OnLine system is authoritative.
  • Proposal drafts are starting points, not finished deliverables. They require human review against the specific solicitation, your past performance, and applicable regulations before submission.

Our methodology page describes the sources, filters, and known limitations for each major calculation.

7. Your content

Documents you upload (past proposals, capability statements, etc.) remain yours. You grant FedRange a limited license to store, process, and analyze them so we can deliver the service to you — drafting, suggestion, extraction, and similar product functions. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we're legally required to retain a copy.

We do not use your uploaded content to train shared models that other users benefit from.

8. Our content

The FedRange name, logo, methodology, software, and derived data products are ours and protected by copyright and trademark. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business while these terms are in effect. You may use the output of the service (e.g., a proposal section drafted on your behalf) without restriction in your own bids.

9. Payment

The founder trial is free during Stage 0. If paid plans launch and you subscribe, the price, billing cadence, and refund terms will be disclosed at checkout. Subscription terms in effect at the time you subscribe govern that subscription.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing founder@fedrange.com.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that are involved in abuse, or where continued provision of the service would expose us to legal risk. We'll attempt to give notice and a cure period when reasonable.

11. Disclaimer

FedRange is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be complete or accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FedRange will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost contracts, or bid outcomes, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the service will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred US dollars, or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FedRange and its operators from claims arising out of (a) your use of the service in violation of these terms, (b) your submitted content, or (c) your bids and contractual commitments to third parties.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction that grants non-waivable consumer rights, nothing here overrides those rights.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
